About

Hi, I'm Devin Dean. I have a passion for making music. I've been surrounded by music pretty much my whole life. When I was a little boy, my dad was a worship pastor at a small church in Irving, Texas. The majority of my evenings were spent getting into trouble in the church sanctuary while my dad led choir practice. In fact, I was around music so much that my school teachers complained to my parents that I would sing songs out loud in class while they were trying to teach, and I never even realized I was singing. When my parents figured out that I enjoyed singing, they thought it would be a good idea to get me into piano lessons. Reading sheet music did not come easy to me, and still doesn't as I have major problems getting my fingers to do what my eyes see. It wasn't until years later that my parents figured out that I could play by ear, and I've been playing that way ever since. I picked up guitar along the way and that eventually turned into a favorite instrument. As a grew up, I got better at music, and today I am serving as the Director of Worship at Heartland Church in Carrollton, Texas. I met my wife when I was in 9th grade. We dated for 9 years until we got married in May 2010. I love her, and she in return, loves me back. We just bought our first house, and life is good.

The purposes behind my music are to challenge you and to leave you feeling closer to God after listening. With so much of today's music sending negative vibes out, I want my music to be a source of encouragement, a song of hope. I hope that as God blesses me, I can in return use the gifts he has given me to bless you.
